Villa Kudu was built as a holiday home and future retirement space for a French family on the Zandspruit Bush & Aero Estate in Hoedspruit.
Designed by architects Förtsch Associates, the owners knew what they wanted and shared their ideas with the designer – a thatch roof to give an African influence, covered outdoor areas to relax in and viewing decks to enjoy the views of the Sandspruit River and its visitors – were on their list. They got what they wanted and so much more!
There are three covered patios; the first is fully enclosed with an inside garden, boma and braai, the second is built around a giant chess set and the third comprises a bar, outside dining table and swimming pool. The living areas are spacious, elegant and comfortable and seamlessly run into each other. Even the TV room is chic and offers a huge 65 -inch screen connected to 180 DSTV channels and houses a massive film collection.
